Vitals Tap is a standalone Wear OS application that helps users manually count heart rate and respiration rates. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how that information is used, and the choices available to users.
When a user saves a measurement, Vitals Tap stores the measurement type, date and time, count duration, tap count, calculated rate, and tap timing intervals locally on the watch. The app also stores user-selected settings, such as default count durations and haptic preferences.
Vitals Tap does not request or store names, patient identifiers, account information, or contact information. Users should not enter patient-identifiable information into the app.
Vitals Tap does not transmit measurement data or settings off the watch. It does not use advertising, analytics, cloud synchronization, third-party tracking, or account services. The app does not sell or share user data with third parties.
The app does not use the watch's optical heart-rate sensor and does not request access to health sensors or Health Connect. Its only device permission is vibration, which is used to provide measurement feedback.
Measurements and settings remain on the watch until the user clears the app's data or uninstalls the app. Uninstalling Vitals Tap removes its locally stored information according to the normal behavior of Wear OS. Vitals Tap has no user accounts or server-side user data.
Information remains on the watch and is protected by the security features of the user's device and Wear OS. Vitals Tap disables Android backup for its app data. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Vitals Tap is a manual counting aid. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Results should not replace professional medical judgment or approved monitoring equipment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Vitals Tap is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
